Residents are encouraged to get involved with Greater Shepparton’s Activities in the Park program, with Traditional Indigenous Games and Nordic Walking coming up this week.
The Traditional Indigenous Games is an ideal opportunity for families to get outdoors, be active and learn some new skills. Participants will learn how to play bowitgee, kai, kolap and buroinjin.
Nordic Walking is a total body version of walking that can be enjoyed both by non-athletes as a health-promoting physical activity, and by athletes as a sport. The activity is performed with specially designed walking poles similar to ski poles.
